This is a declaration. The long kept secret of a fragrance created in the early 1950s by the greatest perfumer of the 20th century: Edmond Roudnitska. Designed especially for his wife Thérèse, this is a harmonious blend of plum, with a hint of melon and cucumber, with prophetic modernity. A floral heart of rose and jasmine, sensual and carnal, set against a leathery base of timeless elegance. Worn by only one woman for nearly half a century, then entrusted to Frédéric Malle, this hidden masterpiece of perfumery is rediscovered anew every time it is worn. The Perfumer
EDMOND ROUDNITSKA
Edmond Roudnitska is remembered today as one of the most important perfumers in history: as a "perfumer composer" and the inventor of modern perfumery. Edmond began his career as a chemist at Roure Bertrand Dupont, where he developed an encyclopedic knowledge of natural and synthetic raw materials, as well as a distinctive minimalist style, which led to his legendary, secret masterpiece, “Le Parfum de Thérèse”. Only she, his wife, was allowed to wear it; but as a token of their shared family history, and their mutual trust, she entrusted the formula to Frédéric Malle after Edmond’s death.
